I still have the recording on my phone. It’s been three years and I never deleted it. Every few months I pull it up when the apartment is quiet, headphones in, and listen to the way my own voice cracked the first time another man touched me. The park was the only place we could go that night. No apartments, no cars, just the dark stretch of trees behind the old baseball field where the lights never reached.
I met him on an app. His name was Marcus, twenty-seven, same as me then. We talked for two weeks before he said, “If you’re serious about trying this, meet me at the park after midnight.” I told myself I was just going to talk. I told myself a lot of things.
When I got there he was already waiting on the bench by the path.

Tall, broad shoulders, beard trimmed short. He didn’t smile when he saw me. He just stood up and said, “Walk with me.” We didn’t say much for the first ten minutes. My heart was so loud I was sure he could hear it. The audio on my phone picks it up anyway, that quick breathing I couldn’t control.
We found a spot where the trees grew thick and the ground was soft with pine needles. Marcus stopped and turned to me. “You still want this?” I nodded. He stepped closer, put one hand on the back of my neck, and kissed me. It was nothing like kissing a woman. Harder, more certain. His tongue pushed past my lips and I opened for him without thinking.
The phone was in my jacket pocket. I’d started recording before I left the car because I wanted proof it happened, proof I wasn’t making it up in my head. You can hear the moment his hand slid down and cupped me through my jeans. A low sound came out of my throat that I’d never made before. Marcus laughed quietly against my mouth. “Yeah. That’s the one.”
He opened my jeans right there. The night air was cool on my skin but his palm was hot. He stroked me slow at first, learning the way I reacted, then tighter when my hips started to push forward. I reached for him too. He was already hard. I remember the weight of him in my hand, the way he groaned when I squeezed. We stood like that for a while, kissing and touching, breathing into each other’s mouths.
Then he turned me around. My hands went to the rough bark of the nearest tree. Marcus pulled my jeans lower, down to my thighs. I heard the tear of the condom wrapper. The audio catches the small, wet sound of lube and then his fingers, one at first, then two, working me open. I was shaking. Not from cold. From how much I wanted it and how scared I was at the same time.
When he pushed inside me the first time I bit my own forearm to stay quiet. It burned and stretched and felt like nothing I’d ever known. Marcus held still, one hand on my hip, the other over my mouth. “Breathe,” he whispered. “You’re doing so good.” I breathed. After a minute the burn eased into something deeper, hotter. He started to move.
The recording is only ten minutes long but it feels longer when I listen. You can hear the steady slap of skin, the way my breathing turned into soft, desperate sounds I couldn’t hold back. Marcus talked the whole time, low and filthy, telling me how tight I was, how he’d wanted this since the first message. I came without touching myself, just from the angle and the pressure and the filthy words in my ear. He followed a minute later, teeth on my shoulder, hips jerking hard.
Afterward we stayed pressed together while we caught our breath. He pulled out carefully, tied off the condom, and helped me fix my clothes. We didn’t kiss again. We walked back to the parking lot in silence. At his car he looked at me and said, “You okay?” I said yes. I meant it.
I still listen to that audio sometimes. Not to get off, exactly. More to remember the exact second I stopped pretending I didn’t want this. The park is still there. The trees haven’t changed. Every time I drive past I feel that same low pull in my stomach, the same certainty that I’d do it all again if the night was right and the right man asked.
Some nights I almost text Marcus. I never do. The recording is enough. It holds the whole story in ten raw minutes, and I keep it for myself.
